Quick guide to my Trips and Travels in 2025

2025 had some lovely trips with my best friends and boyfriend, so read on for a quick overview of recommendations of where to eat, drink and things to do in Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Valencia and Bath.

January: Edinburgh, Scotland

Recommendations:

  • Walk along Victoria Street and admire the colourful buildings
  • Walk up Calton Hill for sunset
  • Visit the Vennel Viewpoint and grab a photo of the castle in the background (maybe shed a tear of Dexter and Emma)
  • Go to Edinburgh Castle – don’t miss the one o’clock cannon!
  • Walk up Arthur’s seat and admire the incredible landscape (bonus points if you have an Irn-Bru at the top)
  • Take a trip to Waterstones, pick up a good book and admire the view of the castle from the cafe windows, or visit Booklovers Bookshop for a fabulous romance
  • Make sure to visit Greyfairs Bobby the dog and rub his nose for luck!
  • Grab a drink and walk around Dean’s village

Food & Drinks:

  • Enjoy a delicious hearty meal at Makers Mash Bar
  • Start the morning off right with a lovely breakfast at Edinburgh Larder Cafe
  • Visit The Milkman for a sweet treat and a coffee
  • Have a fancy night out at the stunning restaurant Amarone – especially the pizza
  • Don’t miss out on the adorable Uplands Roast for a hot chocolate that I still think about today

February: Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmo, Sweden

Recommendations:

  • Visit Kastellet, which is shared like a star, for pretty buildings and a a lovely windmill
  • Take a walk down Nyvern and admire the iconic view
  • Visit The little mermaid Statue 
  • Watch the changing of the guards as they goe from the castle to the palace
  • Climb to the top of Vor Frelsers Kirke
  • Shops: Lego store is a must, loads of tote bag stores which are really unique, loads of clothing places and accessory places too!
  • Grab a board game at Bastard Cafe and have a drink

Day trip to Malmö in Sweden

Take a quick train journey and visit another country whilst on your trip to Copenhagen! There are gorgeous colourful streets to walk around, particularly Gamla Staden Street, a huge shopping centre, and a lovely park too.

Food & Drinks:

  • For a quick cheap bite, grab a Hotdog from the stands near the theatre
  • Be spoilt for choice at Tivoli food garden
  • The living room for is the perfect spot for happy hour
  • Reinh Van Hauen – huge pastries and lovely coffee
  • Visit the iconic Buka pastry for very “Instagrammable” pastries (highly recommend the Nutella croissants)
  • Pico Pizza (such good trios of pizza) there is a few, we walked quite far for the one we went too but it was a lovely walk and saw more of area

Malmo, Sweden: Make sure to have brunch at Brunchoteket, its absolutely amazing!

June: Valencia, Spain

Recommendations:

  • Visit Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and walk around the amazing scenario, make sure to go to the top to grab a photo will the trees!
  • Walk around and get lost in the centre as you see beautiful buildings and visit lovely little shops
  • Write and post a postcard to loved ones at La Postalera 
  • Have a relaxing day with food, cocktails, music and a swim at Marina Beach Club or stay for the evening for a club night out!
  • Visit the market to grab a bit to eat or a souvenir
  • Need a good shopping fix? Visit the Centro Comercial Aqua Multiespacio or Centro Comercial El Saler

Food & Drinks:

  • Grab a froyo at llaollao
  • Have the local drink Aqua de Valencia at Finca Bar de Barra 
  • Make the most of the €1 tacos at Tko Tacos 
  • Beautiful pizza and drinks at San Tommaso
  • Enjoy that sweet treat and grab some ice cream or sorbet at Lucciano’s Valencia 
  • Udon Aqua was the perfect noodle fix 

December: Bath, England

Whilst only in Bath for a couple of days, we loved it so much! Here is an overview of some recommendations:

  • The main thing on everyones list is of course to visit The Roman Baths, definitely worth it and is an extremely interesting tour
  • Have a stunning pizza at Bosco Pizzeria
  • Grab a Guinness at this very small but cute Irish bar – Flan O’briens
  • Enjoy a lovely curry at Bandook
  • Visit a ‘First Dates’ location and enjoy a cocktail at The Botanist
  • Grab a drink at The Grapes
  • Grab a book at the gorgeous Topping & Company Booksellers – make sure to go the top of the ladder and live out your Belle fantasy
  • Grab another drink at the Bath Brew House

And there you have it, an overview of some of my incredible trips from 2025. Here’s to another beautiful year!
